It's easy to dream big as the ball drops, only to see your aspirations fall apart in the short, cold days of January. 

A veteran publisher in the Shine.FM listening area, Julia Perla Huisman had dreamed of starting her own magazine, but also had to deal with the realities of time, family responsibilities...and well, money. 

In 2017, Julia launched Here Magazine, dedicated to shining a light on local culture, food, events and activities that make life in Northwest Indiana so unique.
